The Expanse,
Enter the Future

In fall of 2015, my team was tasked with creating this immersive guide to the world of The Expanse and enlisted the help of North Kingdom. The result was a beautifully animated interactive model that let users navigate the near-future solar system of the show and learn more about both the characters and the unique cultural and political forces motivating events. As the series progressed, the site then allowed users to track vessels and characters in real time to help them follow the complex narrative and begin to solve the mystery of the missing heiress at the heart of Season 1’s story. I was responsible for much of the visual direction of the site, which went on to win numerous awards for design.

Late the following year we revamped the experience, introducing a host of new characters and an updated narrative centered on the terrifying, newly discovered protomolecule. I oversaw design for this Season 2 experience, which, thankfully, again won a bunch of awards!
