In summer 2012 I gave the science, technology and design blog, and its entertainment news sister site Blastr, a comprehensive redesign. Designed with an eye toward multiplatform viewing and more robust commenting and social sharing, it also featured a flexible modular configuration, enabling various weights and styles of article promotion.
As part of the relaunch, I designed a feature-rich companion app for phone and tablet users. With a simplified interface designed to maximize the mobile viewing experience, it allowed users to jump directly to the most recent and popular articles, image galleries and video content or tag their favorites and view them whenever they want.
